Years catching up to me,

Vision's faded,

Self deprecated,

Laugh lines telling fables of days I was elated,

Indistinguishable from lies I've created,

Visions of gold, copper plated,

Wafting incense surrounds me, breath bated,

From thine own self berated,

Heart beats of memories faded, syncopated,

Lines of rhymes refined, now jaded,

Signs of times were mine, given now taken

When The Devil Is Desperate, a short story by T.F. Burke

It was a gloomy day when the Sisters Of Light convened for their ritual. They had finally found the spell to kill Satan. The sisters, also known as the "OCULUS", had journeyed 2500 miles from their convent to Mount Ararat to assemble the spell and kill Lucifer once and for all. A prophecy which was foretold centuries ago. Satan was furious that anyone would dare try this spell. He appeared at the altar the OCULUS had made. His eyes glowed red with fury. All of a sudden they started glowing bright purple. His bones started to crack,then a purple explosion blew him a half a mile away. as Satan lay there, broken and bleeding, he did the one thing he never wanted to do. He summoned G.U.S. A shadowy figure starts walking up, as if from nowhere, the sound of his legendary guitar dragging behind him. The OCULUS kept chanting. hurriedly trying to finish the ritual. They knew what was going to happen. G.U.S. put his guitar strap on and started...

HALLOWEEN There comes a time on Halloween, The veil is thin on worlds between, Scary things break through on this night, Not of this world, oddities made to fright, Too scary to see, some may say, Even the ghosts hide, tucked away, Evil lurks and evil plays, Evil sings songs of evil days, If you see that this night is nigh, Heed your despair and try to hide, Believe me now, you're not prepared, To see the scary of the scary that ever has scared, It just so happened, One Halloween night, A couple of teens decided to risk the fright, Arms locked in arms, To steady their way, To bravely face the evil of this day, Quietly they crept ,past the sign that say, Old Ridge cemetery this way, With trepidation and shaky steps, To face their fears of the souls that slept, But on this day, they didn't know, Spirits hide, so they won't show, Through the dark with little light, The things that stir, filled with spite, Things await they never thought to see, Ghosts did shudder and demons d...
